In Isla Pasión, it is possible to hold civil weddings through a simple process. The celebration consists of a ceremony in Spanish (which can be simultaneously translated into English, French, or Italian) where the commitments of the new marriage are read. This is officiated by an authorized civil registry judge in Mexico.

The ceremony can be extended by including a speaker or officiant who conducts a symbolic sand ritual. The couple reads their vows and exchanges rings.
